Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 14, 2026 · Last Updated: May 14, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Temporal Health LLC ("Aeon," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Aeon application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy also serves as the California Notice at Collection required under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only the personal information reasonably necessary to provide and improve the Service, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Aeon is a general wellness and lifestyle application and is not a medical device, healthcare provider, diagnostic service, or substitute for professional medical advice or treatment. Use of the Service does not create a physician-patient, therapist-patient, coach-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship between you and Aeon or any of its personnel.
The Service is not intended for emergency or urgent medical situations. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services or a licensed healthcare provider immediately.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored in hashed form).
Onboarding Responses. During the onboarding process, you provide responses to wellness assessment questions, including your wellness motivation, self-reported energy level, recovery capacity, sleep quality, available time commitment, preferred practice time slots (morning, midday, evening), preferred wellness modalities (e.g., cold exposure, breathwork, movement, dietary practices), experience level, and comfort with discomfort practices. These responses are used to personalize your practice recommendations.
Safety Acknowledgment. We record the date and time you acknowledged the general wellness disclaimer, confirming your understanding that Aeon is not a medical service.
Daily Check-Ins. When you log daily practices, you provide compliance data (which practices you completed), the times you completed them, rotating wellness assessment responses, and optional daily covariate information (such as whether you consumed alcohol, traveled across time zones, performed intense exercise, consumed caffeine late in the day, or experienced acute stress). Covariate reporting is optional and is used solely to contextualize your wellness trends. You may also provide personal notes.
Weekly and Periodic Assessments. You may complete periodic assessments that capture wellness outcome measures across multiple domains (metabolic, physical, biochemical, psychological/social).
Biweekly Check-Ins. Approximately every two weeks, you may complete a brief check-in session that identifies any barriers to practice adherence and captures your subjective assessment of how current practices are working. This information is used to adjust your practice recommendations.
Biomarker Data. You may optionally enter laboratory test results (such as vitamin D, ferritin, HbA1c, hsCRP, triglycerides, fasting glucose, testosterone, omega-3 index, ApoB, or magnesium RBC levels) that you have obtained from your own healthcare provider. This data is entered manually by you, is entirely optional, and is used solely to inform which wellness practices may be most relevant to your current profile. Aeon does not order, perform, or interpret laboratory tests. Lab values entered into the Service are used solely for general wellness personalization and educational purposes. Aeon does not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, interpret laboratory findings for clinical purposes, or monitor disease progression. Aeon does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or clinical validity of biomarker information entered by users.
Hormetic Session Data. When you complete certain practices involving cold exposure, heat exposure, or structured exercise, you may log session details including modality (e.g., cold shower, sauna, exercise type), duration, and subjective intensity. This data is used to track your practice progression and personalize future practice recommendations.
Optional Research Contribution. You may voluntarily provide additional demographic and lifestyle context through clearly labeled optional questions. This data is used only for aggregate product improvement analysis.
Preferences. You configure notification preferences, display preferences, and other settings.
Certain wellness practices referenced within the Service, including cold exposure, heat exposure, breathwork, fasting, or exercise-related activities, may involve physical risks for some individuals. Users should consult an appropriate healthcare professional before beginning new wellness practices, particularly if they have underlying medical conditions or health concerns.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device and Usage Information. We collect standard device information including device type, operating system, app version, and general usage patterns (screens viewed, features used, session duration). This data is used for product improvement and troubleshooting.
Notification Interaction. We record whether notifications are delivered, opened, or dismissed to optimize notification timing and relevance.
2.3 Wearable and Health Device Data
With your explicit permission, Aeon can read health and fitness data from Apple HealthKit, which may include data from connected devices such as Apple Watch, Oura Ring, Whoop, Fitbit, Garmin, and other HealthKit-compatible devices. The specific data categories we may access are: sleep analysis (sleep stages, duration, timing), heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, step count, respiratory rate, workout sessions, and active energy burned. If you log a hormetic session (see Section 2.1), we may also read heart rate data from a recent workout to calculate heart rate recovery metrics.
This data is used solely to tailor general wellness content, contextualize wellness trends alongside your practice activity, and reduce redundant check-in questions when objective data is available. We do not use this data to diagnose, screen for, or monitor medical conditions. Wearable data integration is entirely optional — Aeon functions fully without it. You can connect or disconnect HealthKit access at any time in Settings. HealthKit data is never used for advertising purposes and is not shared with third parties for advertising or data broker purposes.
2.4 Information We Do Not Collect
Aeon does not access or retrieve medical records, diagnoses, or clinical health data directly from healthcare providers, insurers, pharmacies, or electronic health record systems. We do not collect medication information. We do not collect location data (practice scheduling is based on your self-reported time slot preferences, not your geographic location). We do not collect payment card information directly — payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors (see Section 5). Aeon is not a healthcare provider, and the Service is not intended to diagnose, treat, monitor or manage medical conditions.
2.5 Categories of Personal Information Collected
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), we may collect the following categories of personal information: (i) identifiers such as email address and account credentials, (ii) internet or device activity information (such as usage patterns), (iii) self-reported wellness information, (iv) health-related data from wearable integrations, (v) user-entered biomarker data (laboratory test results), or (vi) inference data derived from usage patterns used to personalize recommendations.
2.6 Sensitive Personal Information
Some data collected through the Service may qualify as sensitive personal information under the CPRA, including wellness metrics, wearable device data, and user-entered biomarker data. We use sensitive personal information only for purposes reasonably necessary to provide the Service and do not use it for profiling or targeted advertising.
2.7 Consumer Health Data Disclosures
Certain information processed through the Service may constitute "consumer health data" under applicable state privacy laws, including wellness metrics, wearable-device data, biomarker information entered by users, and inferences derived from such information. Aeon processes this information solely to provide and improve the Service's general wellness functionality and not for advertising, data brokerage, or employment, insurance, or credit eligibility purposes. Where required by applicable law, users may have rights to access, delete, or withdraw consent relating to consumer health data. Requests may be submitted to support@temporalhealth.io.

These processes are intended for product functionality and improvement purposes only and are not designed for clinical or medical decision-making. Individual experiences and outcomes may vary. Certain features of the Service use automated processing to tailor general wellness content and recommendations based on user inputs, engagement patterns, optional wearable data, optional biomarker data, and adherence trends. These systems identify statistical patterns in user-reported outcomes and wellness activity to adjust the timing, sequencing, or prioritization of wellness practices presented through the Service. Automated processing within the Service is intended solely to support user experience and general wellness personalization. These processes do not produce legal, financial, insurance, employment, or medical decisions and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or monitor medical conditions.

4. How We Store and Protect Your Information

- Encryption at rest for stored data
- Row-level security ensuring each user can only access their own data
- Hashed password storage (passwords are never stored in plain text)
- Access controls limiting employee access to user data on a need-to-know basis

4.3 Data Breach Notification
While we implement industry-standard safeguards, no system can guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by applicable law.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Aeon:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not use third-party SDKs for behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking.
Aeon may also use third-party analytics, infrastructure, error-monitoring, or artificial intelligence service providers to support application functionality, troubleshooting, content generation, or product improvement. These providers are contractually restricted from using personal information for their own advertising or independent commercial purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data according to the following schedule:
Active accounts. All user data is retained for the lifetime of your active account. This enables longitudinal tracking of your wellness journey and supports the algorithmic personalization that improves over time with more data.
Inactive accounts. If your account is inactive for 12 consecutive months, we will notify you via email. If the account remains inactive for an additional 3 months following notification, we may delete your account and associated data.
Deleted accounts. Upon account deletion (whether requested by you or due to inactivity), we delete your personal data within 30 days unless retention is required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution. De-identified, aggregate data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers. We share data with the third-party services listed in Section 5, solely for the purpose of operating the Service. Each provider is contractually obligated to protect your data. All third-party service providers that process personal data on our behalf are service providers or processors and are contractually restricted from using the data for purposes other than providing services to Aeon.
Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or safety, or investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service.
Business Transfer. If Temporal Health LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
